MEET ROBERT
Robert Vigue's life is marked by service, dedication, and community involvement. Born in Waterville, Maine, he grew up as the second of five children. After his father's tragic death in an industrial accident, his mother moved the family to Pittsburgh, where she worked for the United States Postal Service.
In 1971, the family relocated to Valencia, Pennsylvania, where Robert graduated from Mars High School in 1975. Soon after, he joined the United States Air Force, dedicating over twenty years of honorable service. During his military career, he received numerous honors, including the Air Force Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and five Air Force Good Conduct Medals. Robert also immersed himself in local communities, serving as PTA president at Rio Rancho Elementary School and participating in the Albuquerque Little Theatre.
After retiring from the Air Force in 1995, Robert lived in New Mexico until 2003 before returning to Pennsylvania, where he built a home in Valencia. His commitment to public service continued as he became an active community member. Robert has served nine years on the Valencia Town Council as president, and is involved with the Mars Library Board and the Butler County Federated Library Board. He has also been twice elected as Pennsylvania State Constable and serves as 2nd Vice President of the Butler County Boroughs Association.
Robert is a proud father to his daughter Thailia and a devoted grandfather to Meagan and Luke. He is a member of St. Killian’s Parish in Cranberry Township, where he continues to live a life of service and community involvement.
