One of the things that truly bothers me about my opponent, is her lack of concern for all people in district 12. Her and her husband make about $250 K a year. Yet this person has done everything she can to hold wages down. She has been on the wrong side of the vote against raising the minimum wage in Pennsylvania from the low $7.25 an hour it is today to $13 and voted against raising it to $15 an hour (HB 1500). Her votes against raising the minimum wage, despite her and her husband's higher income, resonate with voters who are struggling with low wages and the rising cost of living. Her Anti-Union position, where she has voted many times against a worker right to negotiate for better wages, benefits, and working conditions, (HB 950) items that aligns well with my stance on raising the minimum wage. Collective bargaining can lead to more equitable workplaces.
Elected officials should understand and advocate for fair wages that allow people to make a decent living, we need to draw attention to the economic disparities and disconnect between Scialabba and working-class voters. It's time for a change and move District 12 and Pennsylvania forward.
Vote November 5th all the way down Ballot.
